"The mission of Women's League for Conservative Judaism is to strengthen and unite synagogue women's groups and their members; support them in mutual efforts to understand and perpetuate Conservative Judaism in the home, synagogue and community; and reinforce their bonds with Israel and with Jews worldwide."
Our Jacksonville Jewish Center Sisterhood has the most wonderful, strong, creative leaders on the 2008-2010 board. Our goal is to create a stronger, more active Sisterhood, to include all Center members, to make everyone feel a part of an organization with a strong purpose and direction. In the year ahead we have so many exciting programs planned. We have night meetings and luncheons. We have book reviews on Shabbat, weekday nights and lunchtime. We have fundraisers and socials. We have continuing education with Rabbi Lubliner and Hazzan Holzer. We have an active Z'havah group.
Z'havah gives younger members of Women's League Sisterhoods a point of focus and connection with the larger organization. It is a mechanism to reach younger, unaffiliated women who are not yet aware of Sisterhood.
There is no greater mandate than to leave this world better than we found it. Join the Jacksonville Jewish Center Sisterhood. Help us make the JJC, Jacksonville and the world a better place. Be a part of our beautiful organization. I look forward to working with you for the next two years; together we can make a difference.
