The Jacksonville Jewish Center welcomed our new Hazzan Jesse Holzer, and his wife Leora, in July 2008. We are excited to have them as part of our Center family.
On Friday night, Erev Shabbat, there is a preliminary service called Kabbalat Shabbat , Welcoming the Sabbath, that was instituted by kabbalist (Jewish Mystic) Rabbi Moses Cordovero of Safed (1522-1570).
